Our mission is to promote, support, and advocate for excellence in mathematics education throughout the Province of Ontario. For more about OAME/AOEM, check out our Vision for Learning Mathematics.

OAME/AOEM and all of their professional learning opportunities, including the OAME/AOEM Annual Conference, are not funded in any way by the Ministry of Education or any Boards of Education. If further clarification is required, please contact your local federation office.

Welcome to new OAME Board of Directors

Welcome to September 2026 and a new OAME school year. A very special welcome to new OAME President, Mark Chubb who switches from President-Elect, as Kit Luce becomes Past President and hands him the gavel. Mark will be president for the 2026-2028 two year term. Welcome Mark!

• As of September 1st, Sandra Jean Price is now the official Executive Director of OAME/AOEM - thank you Sandra Jean for stepping into the Acting ED role early in the spring when needed.
• New to the OAME Board of Directors this year are Carly Ziniuk (Director, 7-12), Sarah Schoales (NWOAME chapter rep), Amanda Jean Davison (TEAMS chapter rep).
• Jennifer D'Daddario joined the Board of Directors in the spring as a Director, JK-6, but this is her first September.
• Returning to the Board is Jimmy Pai as O34ME Chapter Rep - Welcome back Jimmy!
• Moving to new positions (besides Mark and Kit) are Teresa Weselake (Director, JK-6) and Elli Weisdorf (Director, 7-12).

Goodbye and best of luck in your future endeavours to the following board members who have finished their term and given so many volunteer hours to the Board of Director and the math community at large. A huge thank you to:
